Hello! I’m Susana, the one who greets you with a smile as soon as you arrive at Camping Playa La Bota 😊
And today I want to tell you a secret… or rather, a tip from camping veterans: September is the best month to come.
The ‘official’ summer may seem to be coming to an end, but here in Punta Umbría, September still smells of salt air, siestas under the pine trees and dips in the sea at sunset. And what’s more, it’s quieter and the prices are mid-season. What more could you ask for?

September: the best of summer, but with more calm
After an August filled with families, children on bikes and nights of music, September brings a delightful calm, without losing any of the charm of summer.
The beach is still here, as is the swimming pool, and the beach bar is still going strong… but the pace slows down a little, which is welcome.
The temperatures remain very pleasant (even better for sleeping) and the sea water is perfect.
It’s as if summer is relaxing and saying to you: now you can enjoy me at your leisure.
Why is September the ideal month to visit Camping Playa La Bota?
Good weather, no stress, and the beach all to yourself
September in Punta Umbría is a gift.
The mornings are still sunny, the sea is inviting for a swim, and there are no longer crowds on the shore or on the trails.
You can read in the shade of a pine tree, lie down without rushing, or simply listen to the waves.
And if you come as a couple, the atmosphere is more intimate. If you come with children, you will have more space to play. If you come alone… absolute peace.
Mid-season prices for charming accommodation
This month we are already in mid-season, which means you can enjoy our best accommodation at lower prices.
No need to wait for a special offer: September is the offer itself. And all without sacrificing the full camping experience: nature, services, and that atmosphere that is so unique to us.
Ideal for getaways with your partner, children or friends
September has it all: good weather, less noise, and plans for everyone.
Are you coming as a couple? Afternoons on the beach and quiet dinners outdoors.
With little ones? More space to run around and discover the surroundings.
With friends? Laughter, barbecues and starry nights without noisy neighbours.
Our accommodation for September: comfort without sacrificing nature
From safari shops to studios: options for all tastes
In September, you can take your time choosing.
We have glamping for the more adventurous who want comfort, vintage caravans for those looking for that retro touch, and mobile homes or studios for those who want air conditioning and more privacy.
There are also our shelters, classic caravans, bungalows, and the Dunar cabin… each one has its own charm.

My personal recommendation? Choose whatever makes you feel at home.
After so many years working at reception, I can say from the bottom of my heart: the best accommodation isn’t the most expensive, it’s the one that suits you best. The one that makes you say ‘it’s so nice here’ when night falls.

September in Punta Umbría: peaceful plans and lots to discover
Walks, sunsets and getaways to Huelva or Portugal
If you feel like getting out and about, September is the ideal time for sightseeing without the oppressive heat.
You can visit the city of Huelva, the Enebrales Natural Park, or even cross over to Portugal in less than an hour.
And if you prefer to stay closer to home, the sunsets from the campsite beach or the Punta Umbría promenade are a real treat.
And at night… silence, stars and true rest.
There’s nothing like ending the day with a refreshing shower, a delicious dinner, and the starry sky above you.
No noise, no rush, no stress. Just you, the pine forest air, and the sound of crickets.
Are you up for spending your September holiday at the beach?
If you are looking for a plan to disconnect, recharge your batteries and enjoy the quietest part of summer, now is your chance.
And if you have any questions, you know where to find me. I’ll be at reception, with the same smile as always, happy to help you choose the accommodation that best suits you.
See you at the campsite.
Big hug,
Susana
