Holy Week between drums and waves: rest in nature a stone’s throw from Huelva and Seville
Holy Week is one of the most cherished moments in the Andalusian calendar. The streets fill with incense, moving silences, and the rhythmic beat of drums echoing centuries of tradition. And yet, sometimes what you crave most is to experience it in your own way, taking deep breaths in the heart of nature, knowing that devotion is close by, without giving up the rest you deserve.
At Camping Playa la Bota we offer you something different: a getaway to disconnect, with the possibility of going to the processions in Huelva or taking a well-deserved break if you come from Seville. Are you in?
Enjoying Holy Week in Huelva from the campsite

Emblematic processions and brotherly atmosphere
The city of Huelva is transformed during Holy Week. From Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday, the brotherhoods walk through the streets with images of great artistic and devotional value. Very close to our campsite you can experience exciting moments such as the passing of the Brotherhood of the Nazarene, the imposing departure of the Brotherhood of Hope or the singularity of the seafaring processions in coastal neighbourhoods.

On which days the most important processions are held
Although the whole week is packed with events, the most important days are usually Maundy Thursday and Good Friday, with breathtaking night-time processions. If you want to organise your getaway well, we recommend you take a look at the official itinerary of Holy Week in Huelva, available online or at the tourist office.

How to get there from the campsite
We are located about 15 minutes drive from the centre of Huelva. You can comfortably get there by road, with park and ride facilities available in the town. So you can enjoy the processions… and go back to sleep under the stars, with the murmur of the sea in the background.
A natural refuge for those coming from Seville

Activities in nature during Easter
You can walk barefoot on the sand, ride your bike on nature trails, or simply relax in your bungalow or studio with a cool beer. And if you come with your family, the kids have plenty of space to play, run, laugh… they deserve to enjoy themselves too!
