Hello again! I’m Susana, the one who welcomes you with a smile (although sometimes I’m hidden behind the fan). If you’ve been coming here for a while, you already know that the heat doesn’t stop us from enjoying the summer… on the contrary! You just have to know how to organise yourself a little bit.
And since you often ask me how I do it, here are my favourite plans for enjoying the campsite when it’s hot, which we know a lot about around here.

When it’s hot… I organise myself like this
Summer in Punta Umbria is synonymous with sun, sea and sand… but also with days that call for shade, cool water and long naps. The important thing is not to fight the heat, but to get along with it. Adapt to the summer rhythm, change your routines a little, and above all: enjoy yourself without stress.
My favourite plans for enjoying the campsite in hot weather
Get up early… and make the most of the morning breeze
The early hours of the day are a delight. I like to get up early, take a short walk on the beach while the sun is still low, and then have a coffee and toast under the shade of the trees. It’s a moment of peace that I wouldn’t trade for anything.
Seek shade and let yourself be carried away by the rhythm of summer.
One of the advantages of our campsite is that we are surrounded by pine forests. So there are many areas with natural shade where it is wonderful. And if you are in a tent, awning or caravan, you know: look for orientation and protect yourself from the sun in the central hours. A small fan and a good nap in the shade will work wonders.

Light lunch, restorative nap and afternoon at the pool or beach.
At midday, the best thing to do is to have something fresh and light: salads, fruit, gazpacho… After lunch, it’s time to rest. Siesta is not optional in July 😉. And when the sun goes down a little, it’s time to get back in the water: the beach is right next door, but you can also enjoy the swimming pool if you fancy something quieter.
And in the evening… a stroll, ice-cream and dinner al fresco.
The night at the campsite has a special charm. Everything relaxes, the temperature drops, and the atmosphere is perfect to go for a walk, have an ice cream or prepare a little dinner by the light of the street lamps and the stars. I love to see how families get together, how the children run around… it’s one of those things that are priceless.
If you are looking for more comfort, I recommend our air-conditioned accommodation.

Simple and premium mobile homes: the coolness is inside (and outside)
For those who don’t want to worry about the heat at all, the premium mobile homes are the best option. They have air-conditioning, fully equipped kitchen, private bathroom, terrace… They have everything you need! It’s like having your own little summer house, but in the middle of nature.

Glamping Safari: adventure with shade included
And if you’re more into adventure with a touch of glamour, our Glamping Safari campsites are amazing. Spacious, with a comfortable bed, porch, carefully decorated… and located in a private and cool area of the campsite. A different experience that, moreover, looks great in the photos 😉.

Premium Caravan: practical, cool and very comfortable
If you are looking for something simpler but well equipped, our Premium Caravan is a marvel. They have air conditioning, kitchen, bathroom and a small terrace perfect for breakfast or dinner al fresco. It’s ideal for couples or small families who want a quiet stay without the hassle.

Caravana Dunar: the charm of simplicity in the middle of nature
And I can’t forget the Caravana Dunar, an option that I love to recommend to those who value the proximity to the pub and the natural environment. It’s very well located, cosy and, although simpler, it has that holiday feel that many are looking for.
Hot weather is also enjoyable (and very enjoyable)
So now you know: don’t let the heat put you off. With a little organisation, good company and a relaxed attitude, camping in summer is an unforgettable experience.
And if you come by reception, don’t hesitate to ask me about cool routes, places to have a cold drink, or any questions you may have.
A cool hug from Punta Umbria,
Susana
